Laser Resurfacing

Laser Resurfacing
This laser treatment helps rectify superficial to moderate facial wrinkles, mild surface scars, skin discoloration, and sun-damaged skin in delicate areas such as around the eyes and mouth. General anesthesia is required, as the ablative laser resurfacing removes the whole depth of the skin from the epidermis down to the dermis - a process that can be rather painful!

Following an ablative laser resurfacing, doctors will advise you to rest for about 7-10 days. During the recovery process, the skin is typically red or pink (a condition that can last anywhere from several days to a few months), and crusting may occur.

Pamper your skin with the right basics

If you wash your face with water and are clueless as to what a basic skincare regime entails, there's no better time to find out. Start swearing by these essentials - your skin will love you for it.
  1. Cleanser - The first, and most basic step of a skincare regime is cleansing your face, to remove surface debris and excess oil. Choose a cleanser according to your skin's needs and make sure your skin doesn't feel dry or taut after. Use a gel cleanser if you have oily skin and a cream cleanser if your skin is dry. Lather from foam cleansers helps remove dirt while oil cleansers double up as make-up as make-up removes.

CLEO Magazine August Issue 2011

As a Aesthetician of Estelle Cosmetique Aesthetics, i would like to share a little of my teenage acne story with those facing the same problem as i used too. My Problems with acne stared when i was Form3 and it lasted all the way to Form 5. So i had it for about three years.

I felt upset and embarrassed,. I tried to conceal them but the doctor said foundation and concealer wasn't a good idea. Unfortunately, i didn't have a choice. I wanted to cover the redness because it made me feel slightly better when i go out. I also didn't really like taking pictures during that time.

Finally, i went to see a dermatologist (Dr Ranjit from Subang Jaya) and he prescribed medication to help control the oiliness. After three months, the meds helped to lessen the zits. The dermatologist then gave me acne cream and gel which i used for six months to maintain clearer skin. For serious cases, you should really consult a doctor first.

Ended up i took up a Beauty Aesthetics Course for my career & been working for Dr Ranjit Skin Specialist for the passed 6 years, Not only i get the made myself complexion improved, i do get to help many people with their problems as well. I love my job very much!
