No More Ingrowns!

Notice dark, bumpy spots on your skin? You likely have ingrown hairs, which can lead to hyper-pigmented scarring! To avoid ingrowns, use a scrub with salicylic acid before shaving to clear them and prevent infection. Then, apply a non-comedogenic shaving foam and shave in the direction of hair growth. Use a single-blade razor as it doesn't create much pressure on skin. making ingrowns less susceptible compared to multiple blades.

French Tip

Can't seem to get the lines of your French manicure looking smooth? If you don't have the stickers to help you create a French tip, simply place one hand on a table and run the brush across the tip from one corner to the other with a steady hand in one swift swipe. This will ensure that the tips are not jagged but in a straight line.

Nails

Keeping your nails gleaming all week isn't hard. Prepping the nail correctly and applying the polish precisely is key.

Nail prep:
  • Remove all non-living cuticle from the nail plate using a cuticle remover and an orange wood stick.
  • Cleanse the plate with a pure soap like ivory liquid soap and a soft nail brush.
  • Remove moisture with an acetone-based nail cleaner.

Polish application:
  • Apply a very thin coat of base coat to nails and let it dry.
  • Thin out nail colour by rolling the bottle between the palms of your hands and apply one thin, translucent coat to nails. Let dry.
  • Apply a second thin coat of colour to nails for full coverage. Let it dry.
  • Seal with top coat and let dry. Wait for a full 10 minutes after application before engaging your hands in any activity. This will help create a hard, protective and high-shine manicure that will last for days.
Maintenance:
  • Apply cuticle oil to the cuticles and sides of nails every night before bedtime to keep the manicure and nail in top condition.

  • Get out of bed half an hour earlier so you don't have to rush in the morning.
  • Write down an affirmation such as " I love and approve of myself" every night before you go to sleep.
